They Drained a Canal in Amsterdam, then put everything they found Online
Something unique is happening Below the Surface, a website that catalogs the 11,279 photographs of finds from the North / South line archaeological project; a subway the Dutch are building in Amsterdam. What they found is amazing. Dolls, coins, trash, artifacts, keys, bullets, plates from the stone age to modern day, and all organized by date here.
The objects themselves are on display at the Rokin showcases. If you would like to curate your own digital collection, the website has a nifty option to that here.
